CARPENTER
SUMMIT Construction is looking for an experienced carpenter to work across a variety of jobsites, taking on a range of renovation and new construction projects, from foundation to framing, roofing, installing windows and doors and performing interior and exterior finishing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Apply carpentry expertise under the direction of the Foreman and General Contractor.
Follow project plans and schedules ensuring that crews together perform timely activities to meet production goals.
Participate in and lead a safe work culture (know, understand, communicate, and ensure compliance).
Administer effective quality control: ensuring the high-quality execution of work, by ensuring that it is to job specifications and follows drawings.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to read and understand construction documents including contracts, drawings, specifications, and subcontracts.
Knowledge of construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, procedures, scheduling, and cost control.
WORKING CONDITIONS
This is a full-time permanent position based in Revelstoke. We offer a great dynamic flexible work environment that allows each of us to combine work, leisure, and family time. We offer competitive remuneration, benefits, 15cm snowfall overnight policy (which means you get to ski every morning it snows more than 15cm overnight), adjusted summer schedule and professional development opportunities.
Pay range between $25-$40 per hour depending on experience.
